House District 122 still belongs to Howard Rich

According to disclosures filed Monday, the most influential address in House District 122 (Beaufort, Hampton, & Jasper Cos.) is still libertarian Howard Rich’s SoHo apartment.

For the last two years, the seat has been occupied by Curtis Brantley, elected in a 2006 campaign that was funded 84% by Howard Rich and friends. This year, more of the same: Brantley got at least 65% of his funding from Rich and associates.

But the sole member of the legislative black caucus to vote for vouchers isn’t an idiot…

Like Republican Dee Compton, he waited until after the final pre-election disclosure to let Howard Rich slather his bread with copious amounts of New York butter.

After all, what the voters don’t know, won’t hurt ‘em.
